Will GDAX become Coinbase pro?

Today we’re announcing that GDAX — our professional trading platform for individuals — will evolve to become Coinbase Pro. Since launching in 2015, GDAX has built liquidity and stability in the space and also helped us understand the needs of active crypto traders.

What happened to GDAX?

In 2018, GDAX was again rebranded to Coinbase Pro but kept its original functionality. Although GDAX was launched with only a handful of major cryptocurrencies, Coinbase Pro now allows trading in hundreds of different virtual assets. GDAX was the name of a cryptocurrency exchange launched by Coinbase in 2015.

Can I use a debit or credit card with GDAX?

However, they only support bank accounts. As a result, if you want to use a debit or credit card, you will need to deposit into Coinbase and then transfer the funds to GDAX! The GDAX fees associated with bank account deposits and withdrawals are the same as Coinbase.

What does GDAX stand for?

It is now called Coinbase Pro. Coinbase Pro is a platform where traders can view real-time information on a large number of Bitcoin currencies.
